Description: Sounds unbelievable—but it's kind of true. We're talking about Antarctica - the only continent on Earth that isn’t "owned" by any one nation, yet is claimed, used, or explored by many, including India, Pakistan, the USA, China, and even North Korea. Unlike other continents, Antarctica is governed by the Antarctic Treaty System, signed in 1959 and now supported by over 50 countries. The treaty declares Antarctica a peaceful zone dedicated to science, banning military activity and suspending any new territorial claims. No one can own it, no one can build a kingdom there—but anyone (under treaty rules) can set up research stations and study its icy secrets. India has the Maitri and Bharati stations. China, the US, and Russia operate several bases. Even Pakistan runs research missions in collaboration, and yes, North Korea has expressed interest in participating scientifically too. So while it's not owned in the traditional sense, Antarctica is shared space—a frozen supercontinent governed by cooperation, science, and diplomacy. It's the world's largest no-man's land, and probably the only place where rivals like India, China, and the US can quietly coexist.
