After 11 YEARS… Railway Ticket Price Just Went UP in India #shorts

Episode Title: After 11 YEARS… Railway Ticket Price Just Went UP in India #shorts
Produced by: FactTechz
Description: Indian Railways has raised passenger ticket prices effective 26 December 2025. This change means that train travel, especially on longer routes, has become a bit more expensive for passengers. Under the new fare structure, tickets for long-distance journeys now cost slightly more than before. For ordinary (non-AC) class trains when travelling beyond about 215 km, the fare has been increased a small amount per kilometre. For mail and express trains, including both non-AC and AC classes like sleeper, 3AC, 2AC and chair car, the fare has also been raised by a small per-kilometre amount. This increase applies to most long-distance services across the country. Shorter trips have been protected to lessen the burden on regular travellers. There is no change in fares for suburban/local trains and no increase for journeys of around 215 km or less in ordinary class. Monthly season tickets and passes are also not affected by the revision. The fare hike has been described as modest and is intended to help the railways manage rising operational and staffing costs while continuing to provide services. Tickets booked before 26 December 2025 were not subject to the new higher fares even if the travel date is later. Long-distance passengers will now pay slightly more, but everyday commuters using local services will see no difference in their ticket costs.
